Climb is a debt payoff planning app that helps users organize debts, choose a payoff strategy, confirm payments, and track progress toward reducing debt. This policy explains what information Climb uses and how that information is handled.
Climb may ask you to enter financial planning information, including:
You may also import debt information from a CSV file that you select.
Climb uses the information you provide to:
Climb provides planning guidance only. It does not provide professional financial, legal, tax, or credit advice.
Climb stores your plan data locally on your device using app storage. This lets the app restore your plan after you close and reopen it.
Climb does not use:
Android system backup may back up app data depending on your device and Android backup settings. Climb itself does not provide cloud sync.
Climb may allow you to import debts from a CSV file that you choose from your device. Imported CSV data is used locally to create debt entries in your Climb plan.
Climb does not upload the selected CSV file to a server.
Payment reminders are optional. If you enable Payment Reminders, Climb may request Android notification permission so it can show a local reminder to confirm planned payments.
Reminder data stays on your device. Climb does not send reminder data to a server.
Climb includes Google Play Billing for optional Climb Plus subscriptions. Purchases and subscription management are handled by Google Play. Climb uses the subscription status returned by Google Play to determine whether Climb Plus is active.
Climb does not process credit cards or payments directly.
Climb includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Free users may see one interstitial ad per app session. Climb Plus users do not see ads.
Ads are not intended to appear during onboarding, plan generation, payment confirmation, the Progress journey, or Settings. Google Mobile Ads may process data according to Google’s policies.
Climb does not sell user financial data.
Climb does not share your debt plan, balances, or payment confirmations with Climb-owned servers. Google Play Billing and Google Mobile Ads are third-party services used for subscriptions and ads.
You can delete saved Climb data from the app by using Reset Saved Data in Settings. This removes the locally saved plan, debts, payment history, progress data, and local app state from the device.
You can also remove app data by uninstalling Climb or clearing Android app storage through system settings.
Climb is not intended for children under 13. The app is designed for people managing personal financial obligations. Climb does not knowingly collect information from children.
Climb keeps plan data in local app storage on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, including using a screen lock and keeping your operating system up to date.
No method of storage is completely secure, but Climb is designed to avoid unnecessary data collection and does not connect to bank accounts or financial institutions.
This privacy policy may be updated as Climb changes. If new data collection, cloud sync, analytics, accounts, or third-party services are added, this policy should be updated to reflect those changes.
